Why is the Brady Bunch interfering with a home sale?

Last week Valerie was interviewed by the producers of Inside Edition regarding the house for sale next to The Brady’s house. The seller can’t understand why her house hasn’t sold, despite the popular location. Perhaps it’s the tour buses stopping to let passengers take pictures and the lack of privacy that entails.

Buying and Selling Real Estate…things to know!

This is a great article about the ‘fine print’ associated with the Purchase Agreement.  Bottom line…know what you are signing and if you have any questions, don’t be hesitant to ask questions.

CA Boom is happening this weekend!

CA Boom has been a major design show in the Southland for the past 5 years. There are tours, vendors, how-to exhibits, and tons of ideas for the home lover in all of us. The tours in Pacific Palisades, Venice, and Santa Monica really interest me. Tours are lead by the actual designers and architects giving you a chance to meet many of LA’s “best”. If you are thinking about a renovation or a new design project, this is a great place to gather information.

If you do go to CA Boom at Barker Hanger, or on any of the tours…please write back with your thoughts and comments. I’d love to hear what you think!

“…nobody walks in L.A.”

Missing Persons may need to change some lyrics after Google Transit settles into Los Angeles. Apparently, Google is making it easier for people to get around using public transportation. Currently, navigating between the different systems can seem very daunting.

Unfortunately, I don’t think this will encourage new public transit patrons, but it should help those who already use the system.

Can DONATIONS keep one of the world’s most popular websites ALIVE?

Wikipedia is run largely by volunteers and supported by donations. Those involved in creating and developing this global democracy, fear revenue just might, “…defile and possibly ruin the biggest encyclopedia in the history of the written word.”

What’s going to happen to Wikipedia, the “encyclopedia anyone can edit”?

Santa Monica is thinking GREEN too!

That’s right!!! The City of Santa Monica may soon ban the distribution of single-use plastic carry-out bags for customers. Part of the plan may include a mandatory charge to customers if/when they don’t bring their own bag. Brings new meaning to, everyone brings their own ‘bag’gage.
